As we continue our series about the RoboGarden school module, we will introduce, the last step in the school module, the Teacher Interface. This article discusses the Teacher Interface’s features in detail.

1. Monitor Student Statistics

This feature acts as a teacher's map with views of all classes, courses, and students. The teacher can monitor the progress of students as they move through the courses.

  • Monitor General Reports
  • General Reports is the first section that the teacher will find upon navigating to the dashboard. This is where the teacher will find the number of students, classrooms, and courses that have been assigned to them.

  • Monitor Student Activity
  • Weekly statistics are shown as a graph that allows the teacher to stay up to date regarding student progress through the missions that have been assigned to them. It shows how many tasks have been solved successfully by how many students during the week.

  • Monitor Top 10 Students Per Classroom
  • The teacher can view the top 10 students in each classroom to which they have access, determined by the highest score. Student progress is calculated by the number of tasks that student has solved divided by the total number of assigned tasks.

If two students have the same score, they will shown in random order. You will see a pop-up message letting you know if there has been no progress in the classroom.

  • Monitor Classroom Score
  • The teacher can manage the number of students and view each classroom’s approximate score. A diagram will show the number of students in each classroom on the x-axis and the range of scores on the y-axis.

If there are no students in the classroom, a message saying there are no scores in the classroom will appear .

  • Monitor Recent Activities
  • The teacher can manage recent classroom activity, including:
  • Courses whose start date is after the current date.
  • Courses whose deadlines have passed.
  • Courses that have been completed by all students.

The teacher has access to all of a classroom or course’s management pages while those courses are available via the school’s plan. If school’s plan has ended, the teacher accounts will be locked and restricted to landing pages and profile pages. The teacher will be unable to manage a classroom or course until the school’s account has been unlocked.

2. View Classrooms:

The teacher can access and view their classrooms by clicking on “Classroom Management” on the side navigation bar. Note that only the main teacher for the classroom can add courses.

Classroom Management offers several tools that can be used at any time:

  • The search bar enables the teacher to search classrooms by name.
  • The filter bar makes it easy for the teacher to filter classrooms by grade.
  • The pagination button beside the search bar lets the teacher to manage the numbers of classrooms per page.
